Our Services

Software Development

We are responsible for supporting and further developing the Tanzania HMIS and new complementary digital health tools, including its integration and interoperability with other systems in the health sector

Capacity Building

Our trainers have designed different data and systems training modules and programs to suit various cadres in the health system levels. These trainings are conducted on-site and offsite during system deployment, support and use.

Research and Training

Our MSc/Ph.D. students and members conduct their research studies resulting in various academic outputs (Articles, Dissertations, manuscripts). Our innovations are also used to equip the students with practical skills in teaching the MSc health informatics program.

Data Analytics, Visualization & Use

Information is the key to making evidence-based decisions. We embark on innovating different mechanisms to present data analysis in simple and easily understood informative dashboards using charts, maps and tables, scorecards, and bottleneck analysis techniques.

 
About us
This project started 17 years ago as a small-scale research project supported by the University of Oslo, whose initial implementation achievements in the Coast Region led to DHIS2 adoption by Tanzania's Ministry of Health. The pilot success in the Coast region acted as a catalyst to enable DHIS2's full-scale rollout in the health sector of Tanzania.
